Life is too short to take a chance sometimes.
That is the philosophy of those who allow destiny to control thier lives. These people have no free will of thier own. They live only to serve those above them.

Followers of Althena
These churches of Althena have taken alot of punishmet ever since the Zydeans ressurected Zophar and his Fiends. One by one, churches, temples, and shrines of Althena have fallen to the armies of darkness. Their faith in Althena is still strong though. But how loing will it take before their faith breaks down? The Knights heard their calling to Althena's guard long ago. They were designed to protect the churches of Althena and do battle with any sort of evil if it was neccessary. They are gifted with strong magic once they become a knight, but lately that has meant nothing. The raids led by the Zydeans have virtually wiped out Althena's knights. Some still remain. Despite their disadvantage, they will continue to do all that is within their power to fight for Althena, but how long will their efforts last?

The Zydeans
These people are the followers of Zophar who were actually able to ressurect their god. They are decked out in black robes. At one point, they were lead by Vassago with Zeppelin at the head of the group (but he was under Vassago's power through use of a Black Crown). They were stationed in the sewers of Merbia until they were discovered by Drake and the others. After that, they mobilized once again and began to attck more of Althena's churches. One of them was the church that Raena was a part of. Lately, the Zydeans haven't been rearing their ugly faces around, but they are still a factor in what is to come.

Grandpa"Dave" Ganefield
Good old Grandpa, calling Aki by her real name Brittany (or "Brittykins" as his pet name) and Rachel by "Rachums". They both hate it, but who's gonna argue with grandpa? He's an old, fussy man who tries to keep his two granddaughters from fighting and taking place in certain "one-on-one activities", if you catch his drift. He means well, but he comes off as being an insulting, old fart. But as we all know, with age comes great knowledge. Perhaps he knows something that the Heroes don't.
